Quick Notes After A Pathetic Loss

Yeah, I don't really feel like writing a lot about today's pathetic loss. Here's some quick hits as to what's running through my head:

  1. Moose and Mo looked great last night. If the Yankees want to beat the A's, or teams with great pitching, then Yankees pitchers better be on their games because they can't rely on the offense for run support.
  2. Kei Igawa didn't looked horrible. He made a few mistakes but pitched decent enough.
  3. I thought the job of a "lefty specialist" is to get out lefties. Going into today lefties are hitting .300 against Myers. He's now gotten 36 lefties out while allowing 24 to reach base. So 40% of left handed batters reach base against Mike Myers. Memo to Mike: You're not a lefty specialist.
  4. Scott Proctor needs to get his head out of his rear end. He's now given up runs in his last 4 outings. In his last 15.1 innings, Proctor has given up 20 hits and allowed 9 walks. Memo to Scott: Why are you a big league pitcher?
  5. 1 hit? Pathetic.

Memo to Brian Cashman: Get to work and upgrade our bullpen.
